Congleton Lions Duck Race at the Congleton Park Sunday 9th of July

Last year's duck race was a huge success, it is one of Congleton's most loved events and this year should be no exception. Already businesses from all over the town have bought their ducks ready for the launch this Sunday the 9th of July.

The Congleton Lions do so much good in our community and organising this great event helps them to raise more funds for the good causes they support. So if you are business and have not already got your duck for the duck race on Sunday, be sure to contact Congleton Lions to make sure your duck is in with a chance.

We at Congleton Radio love seeing the various duck designs, all unique in their own way and are looking forward to seeing the new Mayor's duck on day.

So don't forget to head down to Congleton Park this Sunday for a fun filled day of ducks racing to the finish line on the River Dane.

Beartown Brewery will be there on the day where you can enjoy their great selection of fruity beers and Beartown Bites will be providing hotdogs and burgers and don't forget there will be a girls rugby tournament taking place too. The rugby starts at about 11am and the duck race will start around 2pm.

Congleton Radio will be taking interviews on the day too so if you want to have a chat about your day at the duck race look out for one of our presenters who will be doing the rounds around the park.
