It was International Women's Day on the 8th of March and a year since the unveiling of the Elizabeth Statue in Congleton.
Celebrations took place in Congleton Town Centre. It was a party atmosphere with cakes and balloons and lots of people having their photos taken with Elizabeth.
Congleton Radio took a copy of Fort Circle Games 'Votes For Women' board game to introduce it to the first UK Women's Equality Councillor Kay Wesley alongside the founder of the Elizabeth's Group, Susan Munro as well as Cheshire East Councillors Susie Akers Smith and Rob Moreton.
Kay Wesley, Susan Munro and the rest of the members of the Elizabeth Group are looking forward to trying out the game in the very near future.
